OUR WORK

We have four core programs: Prevention, Short-term Housing, Family Support Services, and Stabilization.

Our programs are made successful thanks to our community volunteers such as our faith-based communities, local businesses, and other nonprofit partners. Through these relationships, we are able to offer a holistic approach that leads parents to becoming independently successful.

Prevention

Prevention is the furthest upstream of FPOC programs. It is proactive and creative at its core.

Short-Term Housing

Located at House of Ruth and Static Site Providing free, safe, and secure overnight accommodations and access to basic needs for families experiencing homelessness alongside housing-focused case management and housing navigation services.

Family Support Services

FPOC offers a variety of supportive services to help families who are either at imminent risk of homelessness or who are experiencing homelessness and are not enrolled in another FPOC program. Services include laundry, shower, access to basic needs, food, housing navigation, case management, and community workshops.

Stabilization

FPOC offers bi-monthly housing sustaining services including tenancy education, employment/job training, case management, and financial literacy for families exiting Problem-Solving, Short-Term Housing, and Family Supportive Services. Families may elect to enroll into the Stabilization program up to 24 months post-graduation.

Program Eligibility

Families in our programs must have at least one child under 18. These youngsters have the misfortune of being homeless in one of the nation’s wealthiest communities.

Shower Trailer

Our FPOC Shower Trailer is currently housed at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Tustin and operates every Sunday. The program, known as Sunday Supper, allows any homeless individual to come take a shower and receive a bag of hygiene products. Thanks to volunteers, the shower is cleaned after every use, so every person can walk into a clean shower station and leave with regained confidence. We are able to serve on average 25 people in need every week.
