Dr. Brummett graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Animal
Science, and a Master's degree in Food Technology. He then completed course work for
an MBA, with the credits being applied to the doctorate he earned in Food Science. He
was commissioned into the Army and served in the Quarter Master Corps and was
honorably discharged as Captain.
He has worked within the Foodservice Industry for more than forty years. He served for
eighteen years within PepsiCo's Divisions; primarily as an Executive/Officer. After retiring,
he lives with his wife, of 51 years, Jane, in North Tustin, CA.
He has developed numerous new products, specifications, processes, concepts and owns
ten US Patents.
He is active within his Methodist Congregation and has served as Head of Finance,
President of Trustees (three terms), Children's Center Board, President of UMM and
numerous Planning and Strategy Committees. Currently, he is active within SPRC, TGIW,
Sunday Suppers and Head Coordinator, at his Church (Aldersgate UMC), for FPOC.
